Feeling, Caring, Doing, Jewishly
In 1964, two groups looking for a spiritual home in Bowie, MD found each other and these 18 families became the heart of what is now Temple Solel. From this foundation, we have grown into a connected community made special by the diversity of our membership, collectively focused on the development of Jewish spiritual life, love of learning and Tikkun Olam.
We are an inclusive Reform Jewish congregational family, guided by Torah and a lifelong commitment to feeling, caring and doing Jewishly. Families not only come to Temple Solel, but are made here as well. From the wisest of grandparents to the most curious of children, we welcome all who care to join regardless of race, age, sexual/gender identity or religious background.
Our Culture - Through both educational and enrichment experiences, we kindle a lifetime love of Jewish learning.
Our Home - Temple Solel is not just a place of worship, but a spiritual home, a way to connect to others, our Judaism and more.
Our World - We are not alone. The way we interact with the rest of the world defines us as much as any other part of our Judaism.
